Dear Staff and School Community,
It is with great excitement and gratitude that I introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal of Northern Elementary School, home of the Nighthawks! I am honored to be joining such a dedicated team and vibrant school community, and I look forward to working alongside you as we continue to build on the strong foundation of success already in place.
I bring with me a wide range of experience in education, a heart for students, and a deep commitment to collaboration. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Visual Art Education from East Carolina University and have had the privilege of teaching students from kindergarten through high school. My journey eventually led me to school leadership, and I earned my Master’s in School Administration from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
Over the years, I’ve served in various leadership roles—including Dean of Students for grades 9–12, where I helped connect the school with valuable community resources. For the past five years, I’ve served as an Assistant Principal, supporting teachers, students, and families in meaningful and practical ways. Throughout my career, I’ve learned the importance of patience, compassion, and building strong relationships.
I value transparency, integrity, and consistency in all aspects of my work. I believe the best outcomes happen when we build trust, work together, and stay focused on what’s best for students. I’m a strong advocate for professional development and lifelong learning, and I’m committed to supporting teachers and staff as we all continue to grow and evolve in our practice.
Beyond my professional life, I am a mother to four wonderful children, whom I raised with my late husband and college sweetheart. I live in High Point, North Carolina, where I enjoy spending time in my art studio creating handmade journals using mixed-media materials. As a visual artist, I’m especially drawn to the beauty and storytelling of illustrated children’s books, and I enjoy reading and creating whenever I can.
I truly love working with children of all ages and feel privileged to be part of their academic and personal growth. I’m excited to join the Nighthawk family and can’t wait to learn from you, work beside you, and contribute to the continued success of this amazing school.
Thank you for the warm welcome. I look forward to a fantastic year ahead!
Warmly,
Mrs. Angela T. Morris
